Many people call it Corporate Social Responsibility and for Old Mutual going beyond and looking at the various social, environmental and economic problems and engaging their staff to adopt this culture of giving back is just out of this world.
In the Month of September 2017, Ecobags Kenya was happy to participate in the Event exhibition organized by the Old Mutual Foundation in an effort to help kick-the paper bags out by showcasing and selling Eco-friendly bags to their staff. This is in the full support of the Plastic carrier bags ban effected from 28th August of 2017. Among other partners included Usalama Watch Initiative, Eddah’s hope Cancer Foundation, Ubuntu Life Foundation, New Life Trust, Mathare Youth Association among others. Partners were offered a chance to learn about financial literacy and interact with old mutual staff during the exhibition.
Each of the Partners had a unique aspect and their great way of handling or providing a solution to the society problems and Old Mutual supported each of the initiatives and by also giving their staff a chance to Volunteer where their felt their greatest cause lies.
In Business its not always about making profits but also ensuring you care and provide support in solving problems in your society, for this we applaud the Old Mutual group for a Job well done. For more Information about UAP Old mutual Foundation click here
